Gardner Denver showcases leading vacuum and low-pressure solutions at the K Exhibition

At K-2019, the world’s leading trade fair for the plastics and rubber industry (Stand B41, Hall 10, Düsseldorf, 16-23 October 2019) Gardner Denver will exhibit its brand-new oil-free, claw technology pump, the C-VLR 62 & 122, alongside a range of vacuum and low pressure solutions from Elmo Rietschle.

Elmo Rietschle’s extensive product portfolio on display includes energy-efficient vacuum solutions for reduced cost of ownership with high reliability for the most demanding of applications and environments. Also exhibited is the class-leading G-Series side channel blowers G-2BH2 and G-2BH8.

Next Generation C-VLR 62 & 122

Elmo Rietschle’s new C-VLR 62 & 122 oil-free vacuum pump has been designed to reduce total life cycle costs. With its claw technology and unique inlet position, the

C-VLR 62 delivers up to 50 per cent greater energy performance than comparable models, equivalent to an energy saving of up to €500.

Design innovations have also been incorporated to help reduce installation and running costs over the lifetime of the machine, as well as greater reliability and increased service intervals.

For example, the pump has also been designed to allow operators easy access to the pumping chamber for fast maintenance, resulting in less downtime. There are also fewer moving parts compared to other models on the market, helping to reduce maintenance requirements and there are no sealing or lubrication fluids required in the pump’s compression chamber.

The C-VLR 62 pump offers a suction capacity of 60 m3/h, while the C-VLR 122 pump offers a suction capacity of 120 m3/h and both are available with either passive or active cooling capabilities.

Where space is at a premium, the C-VLR offers a 30 per cent smaller footprint than other existing claw vacuum pumps available on the market, increasing useable floorspace.

With today’s increased emphasis on reducing employees’ exposure to excessive noise levels, the technology features a sound insulation cover and exhaust silencer, eliminating the need operators to invest in any additional sound insulation.

The C-VLR 62 & 122 is available in both CD and XD models, covering ‘classic duty’ coating versions and heavy-duty units respectively, offering businesses the best machine based on their processes and needs. For example, the XD range includes features such as ‘ProCoat’, a protective coating safeguarding against harsh processes.

VGD 11/16/21

Also on display on stand B41, Hall 10 is the VGD 11/16/21.  This oil-lubricated, rotary vane vacuum pump range has a small footprint, achieved through an overhung rotor design and integral motor, which means that the VGD range can be easily installed into existing machinery.

The unit is fitted as standard with a fine mesh filter, vacuum non-return valve and oil separator. An extremely quiet unit, the VGD 11 model offers average noise levels of 62 dB(A), while the VGD 16 and 21 models deliver average noise levels of 65 dB(A), with suction capabilities ranging from 10 m3/h to 20 m3/h. Christian Frank, Senior Product Manager from Gardner Denver added:

“Experts will be available throughout the show on stand number B41, Hall 10 to discuss the benefits of our low maintenance, energy-efficient vacuum technology portfolio. Featuring a wide range of design innovations, our vacuum pumps offer the ideal combination of a small footprint, quiet operation and durability for the reqirements of the plastics processing market.”
