Advantech Europe to host 2019 IoT Co-Creation Partner Conference in Munich

Advantech, a leader in global intelligent systems (stock symbol: 2395), brings its IoT Co-Creation Partner Conference world tour to Munich on June 6 to accelerate industrial IoT digital transformation leveraging the unique co-creation model.

By continuously collaborating with partners to deliver hardware/software integration for an array of industries, Advantech is working to connect and build a complete industrial IoT ecosystem and empower global IoT industry chains. Choosing Munich as the destination, underlining the importance of the European market as a powerhouse of global IIoT innovation, the program contains presentations by Advantech specialists and co-creation partners’ representatives, like Allan Yang, Chief Technology Officer of Advantech. The morning general session will describe the Wise-Paas VIP Program and explain how Advantech co-creates with ecosystem partners to create solution ready packages.

Advantech’s co-creation model helps companies overcome the barriers to success by positioning Solution-Ready Packages (SRPs) developed by expert partners, which are ready to run on the Advantech WISE-PaaS IIoT Platform as a Service. WISE-PaaS provides a full set of services and frameworks for the SRPs, including a cloud configuration tool, neural network training and deployment, remote maintenance based on EdgeX Foundry, a dashboard, a microservice development framework, and security solutions.

CTO Allan Yang indicated that in Advantech’s long-term view and the planned business model on AIoT, there will be three phases of ecosystem. In the first phase are traditional automation and embedded-hardware platforms which have been Advantech’s mature business for many years. In the second phase there are software and hardware integrated solution modules, which Advantech calls the Solution Ready Package (SRP). Here, Advantech has accumulated a great series of Edge-PaaS software and created the WISE-PaaS software platform. And in the third phase, the domain-focused solution integrators (DFSI) will finally provide integrated cloud services to their domain customers and Advantech will act as an enabler to accelerate delivery.

Allan further pointed out that, “The software platform plays an indispensable role in the process of popularizing the Internet of Things. In 2019-2020, Advantech’s WISE-PaaS platform will enter the phase of popularization and expansion of the brand in markets around the world, and looks forward to reaching the goal of more than 1,000 customers and partners joining the WISE-PaaS software platform by 2021. In certain fields such as intelligent factories, energy and environmental protection, intelligent hospitals, and smart cities, Advantech will strategically invest in IoT integrators to act as software and hardware integration platform providers and partners to accelerate the third phase of growth in IoT.”

The June 6 event invites current and potential co-creation partners to find out more about the program and how to monetise their domain-focused expertise as solution integrators. The day-long event introduces co-creation principles and presents the latest opportunities for program partners, including focus workshops in the afternoon. The morning session will feature a panel discussion hosted by partners’ representatives including Passengera CEO Jan Kolář, Alleantia Chairman and CEO Stefano Linari, and Softgent CEO Marcin Hasse, who will describe their success stories. Presentations by Advantech business development and investment heads will introduce the latest developments in WISE-PaaS and current SRPs for sectors such as Industrie 4.0, smart energy, intelligent healthcare, and smart city.

Coming to Munich reinforces Advantech’s commitment to the European market, which is founded on the company’s One Europe strategy, in place since 2010, and strengthened by important recent investments including expansion of the European Service Centre HQ in Eindhoven to increase warehouse and production capacity and new branch locations opened in in Barcelona and Stockholm to augment strong presence in 10 European countries.
