Solid Sands and Vector join forces for key webinar on safety-critical applications

Solid Sands, leading provider of compiler and library testing for C and C++, has joined forces with global automotive embedded systems specialist Vector for a specialist webinar which will enable attendees to make the right choices when programming for safety-critical applications.

Entitled: “How to qualify standard libraries in safety-critical applications”, the one-hour webinar will be delivered by Remi van Veen, qualification lead engineer at Solid Sands, and Derek Opitz, senior field applications engineer at Vector North America.

The speakers will discuss how the combination of code coverage from VectorCAST/QA and the library requirements testing offered by Solid Sands can be harnessed to qualify the C and C++ standard libraries for use in these applications.

Remi van Veen explained: “The standard libraries in C and C++ have well-understood specifications – our test suites deliver a detailed breakdown of the library specifications into the requirements that must be met by an implementation of the library. Each requirement is matched with a test specification laying out how that requirement is verified by one or more tests.

“Meanwhile, VectorCAST/QA can be used to instrument the C and C++ standard libraries to drive code coverage during specification testing.”

The webinar is free to attend and takes place on Thursday 27th May at 4:00pm BST/ 5:00 pm CEST/ 11:00am Eastern Daylight Time.
