Think green for diesel, AdBlue®

If you own a diesel, you are likely to have to keep it topped up with a special liquid that you refill next to the refuel filler cap. It is not an additive for the fuel engine, but it does work in your vehicle to reduce harmful emissions. Known as AdBlue®, it injects into the catalyst system in the vehicle’s exhaust system.

AdBlue® is a safe, non-toxic, synthetic aqueous urea that turns harmful nitrogen oxide (NOX) into harmless steam and nitrogen. This chemical reaction tackles air pollution by reducing exhaust emissions and enhancing air quality.

The diesel vehicle is fitted with a warning light on the dashboard. If you ignore the warning and carry on driving until the AdBlue® runs out, the vehicle’s emissions and performance will be adversely affected. Once you have turned the engine off, it just will not restart if the AdBlue® has run out.

The amount you use will depend on the number of miles you drive. If you use the vehicle a lot, you will find yourself going through more ®AdBlue. The good news is that ®AdBlue is inexpensive from FLEETMAXX SOLUTIONS and easy to top up yourself.

It is vital that you use Licensed AdBlue®, as fluid without the correct specification will damage your car and prove costly.

You can buy Licensed AdBlue® from FLEETMAXX SOLUTIONS, your trusted partner.
