Advantech Underlines its Unrivalled AIoT & IIoT Expertise at embedded world 2021 DIGITAL

Munich, Germany 1st March 2021 — Advantech is planning to showcase a wide range of exciting new innovations at embedded world this year, which is taking place in a virtual capacity. The company will be providing visitors with the opportunity to learn all about its complete cutting-edge hardware, software, memory and display solutions related to the Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT) and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT).

A major highlight will be the 11th Gen. Intel® Core™ and Celeron® based solutions. These solutions have CPUs which leverage an advanced 10nm process technology and can support low-latency operation. The SOM-7583 COM Express Mini module has up to 16GB of LPDDR4X memory with IBECC, while the MIO-2375 2.5-inch PICO-ITX board has up to 32GB of low-power DDR4.

The upgraded SOM-6883 COM Express modules employ the latest generation of Intel® Core™ processors. This raises their operational speeds by 25% compared with the previous version (with frequencies of up to 2.2GHz now being supported). These modules each offer 16GB of DDR4 3200 memory, plus 2.5Gbase-T Ethernet with time sensitive networking (TSN) functionality, PCIe Gen 4 and USB 3.2 Gen 2 I/Os. They deliver huge value to medical and high-end test instrumentation designs, and are highly suitable for mission-critical military and avionics systems.

Advantech will also be exhibiting its embedded computing platforms based on the Intel Atom® x6000 Series, plus the Intel® Pentium® and Celeron® N and J Series processors. Among these will be the SOM-2532 computer on module and the MIO-5152 3.5-inch single board computer. The SOM-2532, which supports iManager and WISE-DeviceOn, is highly suited to challenging industrial AIoT and transportation applications. The MIO-5152 offers up to 32GB DDR4-3200 memory capacity, plus numerous I/O options (including Gbit Ethernet and USB 3.2 ports).

Other highlights include the AMD Ryzen V2000 Series modules, predominantly intended for edge-based deployment. Available in both COM Express and mini iTX formats, these units deliver high-speed multi-core processing capabilities (reaching 3GHz frequencies) and are accompanied by up to 64GB of built-in memory resource. Each has an AMD Radeon™ GPU incorporated for enhanced graphics functions benefits.

Also on display will be Advantech’s next generation COM-HPC, a future-proof solution supporting standardized pin assignment types for servers and clients. The company’s industrial flash and memory solutions will be featured too, from industrial memory module, memory module and embedded I / O module. Advantech will also present a wide range of displays including LCD displays, touchscreen panels, and outdoor displays. The company’s acclaimed box PC line-up will also be showcased, including the EPC-R3720, a low power consumption Edge AI Box ideal Edge AI Inference with neural network accelerator up to 2.3 TOPS, HDR-Capable ISP of 375 MPixels/s, and a wide range of I/O extensions, oriented for industrial automation.

Visitors can also discover more about the Advantech fanless embedded computers, including the ARK-3000 series which boasts high-performance Intel Core i and Xeon and can operate across a wide temperature range. It is ideally suited to applications in machine and factory automation system, IoT platforms, and cabinet integration.

Finally, there will be an opportunity to learn more about Advantech’s acclaimed digital signage players, which range from entry level to modular, ultra-slim and multi-display solutions such as the DS-980, a6th Generation Intel® Core™ S series video wall signage player up to six displays as a time.
