Who are Sontex?
Sontex SA are a swiss manufacturer of metering and control products, established in 1989 in Sonceboz, Switzerland. Their motto: “Swiss Made is both a motivation and an obligation for us. Where can I use a Sontex Superstatic meter?
One of the most common applications where you would find a Superstatic meter is in a domestic setting such as an apartment block, or a renewable home/property containing biomass, solar or heat pump. The meters wide size range also enables it to enjoy popularity in larger-scale projects, including commercial buildings, AHU’s (Air Handling units) and FCU’s (Fan Coil Unit’s) District heating and projects that require remote reading.
What sets the Superstatic apart from a mechanical meter?
The Sontex Superstatic has no moving parts, meaning less wear and tear! The Sontex Superstatic meter is a highly versatile energy meter that can be used in a large array of applications, partly thanks to its fluidic oscillation principle and partly due to its high glycol tolerance level.
How about maintenance?
Maintenance is usually a dreaded task, unless you use Sontex that is. Simply remove the head and replace or calibrate, no need to remove the flow part! This of course saves time and money.
Can I read remotely?
Yes, you can. With an extensive array of reading options to choose from. You can select the option that is best suited for your project and needs. Options include Pulsed, M-Bus, Wireless M-Bus, BACnet, Modbus, Analogue, and LoRawan. You can speak with our team for more information on data collection. It is something we are great at.
What sizes are available?
The Sontex range of heat/energy meters cover a wide range of applications, with a size range of QP 1.5 (15mm) all the way up to QP 800 (350mm). Sizes do depend on the range you require, please ask us for more details.
