MBA Engineering saves Anord Mardix more than £1,000 per month with bespoke nitrogen generation system

28 October 2019 – Supplier of industry-leading machinery solutions, consumables and support services, MBA Engineering, has provided and installed a bespoke Noblegen nitrogen generation system to Anord Mardix, saving the manufacturer in excess of £1,000 per month.

After acquiring a new CO2 fibre laser cutting system, Anord Mardix quickly noticed how costly purchasing nitrogen to run the machine was. With this in mind, the team identified the need to invest in a nitrogen generation system, so it could control its nitrogen production in-house.

As Anord Mardix was short on factory floor place, MBA Engineering provided a bespoke machine to fit into a specific space – 2m x 2.5m. The MBA Engineering team split the system’s skid and the items on the machinery’s plinth were separated, meaning the equipment could be flexibly fit in and around the factory shop floor.

Speaking about the investment, Darren Gollogly, xxxxx at Anord Mardix, said: “Once we bought our CO2 fibre laser system, we quickly realised that purchasing the nitrogen to run the equipment from external vendors wasn’t a viable option for us.

“We weren’t sure if we had the space to house our own nitrogen generation system, however, MBA Engineering provided the ideal solution with our bespoke machinery. The fact that we now have our own equipment that can generate the nitrogen we need to operate our CO2 fibre laser has not only resulted in significant cost savings for us, we’re saving on valuable factory floor space since we no-longer need to store nitrogen gas canisters.

“It’s great to also know that the MBA Engineering team is on hand 24/7 should we need servicing or maintenance support – it provides us with added peace-of-mind, which is really reassuring.”

MBA Engineering exclusively partnered with Noblegen in 2018 to save manufacturers up to £1,000 per month on the gas costs relating to operating certain machinery, including eliminating the expenses and CO2 emissions associated with regular deliveries of the gas.

Bradley McBain, managing director of MBA Engineering, said: “Behind everything we do at MBA Engineering is the mission to help our customers reduce their overheads by providing them with valuable cost savings.

“While the Anord Mardix team wasn’t sure it had the space to install its own nitrogen generation system, we were able to provide a bespoke solution that fitted into the manufacturer’s available space. This proves that we have the capability to provide nitrogen generation systems to manufacturers no matter what the specification.

“When run alongside a host of cutting systems, the Noblegen nitrogen generation equipment can provide a viable, cost-effective metal cutting solution.”
