The latest version of the Starrett HB400 horizontal benchtop optical comparator offers a 16″ (400mm) screen, 400mm fast traverse X-axis travel, 152mm Y-axis travel, quick change bayonet fitting lenses, Q-axis digital protractor with angular measurements to 0.5µM resolution. It can be enhanced with a 16” touch screen tablet display with part view, X,Y & Q co-ordinates with graphic display of feature, tolerances & measurement.
At the heart of these systems are precision optics, superb LED lighting as standard and a highly accurate workstage, these combine to ensure bright, sharp images and exceptional accuracy.
The screen has precision cross lines, overlay clips and integral hood, the precision workstage has a 540mm x130mm top plate with machined slots for easy fixturing and has a 50Kg weight capacity.
There is a choice of powerful Quadra-Chek or MetLogix software control systems and optional CNC control.
Horizontal models work well with parts that need to be fixtured, held in a vice, or on centres and are ideally suited to applications in the Aerospace and the Automotive industries.
