BUSY YEAR FOR DYNAMOMETER TEST RIGS

Georg UK is celebrating an unprecedented level of enquiries in 2021 despite the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

The Wolverhampton based engineering company is one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of special purpose machines and test rigs. During 2021 they have seen a significant increase in enquiries across all their technical areas, and have won a number of major projects to design and build dynamometer test rigs for electric motors.

Neil Wyke, Managing Director of Georg UK, said: “Despite COVID-19 impacting some large-scale engineering projects across the UK, at Georg I’m pleased that we have remained busy throughout the year working on projects for existing and new clients, such as building five programmable dynamometer test beds with high-speed data acquisition capabilities which are being installed and commissioned over Christmas.”

He added: “Our technical skills and experience in designing and building dynamometer test rigs for electric motors has resulted in a number of key projects for Universities during 2021 and into 2022.”

The company has also invested in its own new machinery during the year, installing new millers, saws and drilling machines in their machine shop in Wolverhampton.

And finally, congratulations to Neil who celebrates 25 years at Georg UK!
