New HR Appointment For CME Reinforces Skills And Growth Strategy

Somerset based Automation and Packaging Machinery specialist CME Limited continues to build upon the company’s growth strategy for 2021 and beyond with the recruitment of Lindsay Lewis as HR Manager.

This new position within CME, replacing a previously outsourced resource, will formalise Human Resource practices within the business and allow a holistic approach to the recruitment, retention and career development of the company’s workforce.

This latest appointment for CME follows a recruitment drive earlier in 2021 where the company bolstered resources across a number of areas including: supply chain operations, aftermarket support, electrical design and projects.

Lindsay will work closely with all company departments to formulate, implement and manage HR practices which will aid the development of the business as it continues its targeted growth into new markets such as Food and Pharmaceuticals. Key elements of this strategy will include continued employee development and upskilling, together with future resource planning to avoid any potential skill gaps as the business drives forward in 2022.

Lindsay brings a combination of HR and Commercial experience to this new role from previous positions, which included a similar role with the Manufacturers Organisation – Make UK.

Paul Knight – CME’s CEO commented “ We are delighted to have Lindsay join our growing team. The experience and skills which Lindsay brings will allow us to focus on and develop our People strategy which is central to the success of our growth strategy.”

CME Limited currently employs 100 people and is active across a number of sectors including: Tobacco, Legal Cannabis, Pharmaceutical Medical & Life-Sciences and Food Beverage & Confectionery.
