ZYGO SHOWCASES OPTICAL & METROLOGY SOLUTIONS AT UPCOMING SPIE OPTICS + PHOTONICS SHOW

Zygo Corporation (a business unit of Ametek, Inc.) is delighted to announce that it will be exhibiting at the SPIE Optics + Photonics event 1-5 August 2021, San Diego, CA, USA. This is the first post-pandemic physical event that ZYGO has attended, and marks the beginning of a busy schedule of exhibitions and conferences as COVID-19 restrictions are gradually lifted across the world.

At Optics + Photonics, members of the ZYGO team will be available on booth 421 in the San Diego Convention Center to discuss the company’s non-contact 3D optical profilers and laser interferometers, and also ZYGO’s high precision optical component and complex electro-optical system manufacturing and assembly capabilities.

The company has put in place a sign-up option for demos at various times during the event accessible HERE. Through this link attendees can see demonstrations from ZYGO’s optics group, and also of some of the company’s 3D optical profilers and laser interferometers.

Eric Felkel, Product Manager at ZYGO says, “We are really excited to be at Optics + Photonics, and cannot wait to see our customers face to face again. ZYGO has a 50-year heritage in the precision metrology sector. From its inception, the company has sought to address challenging problems faced by industry, led by motivated employees driving new innovative solutions from concept to product introduction. We have a large and highly knowledgeable team of experts in the fields of precision metrology and optics who deliver exceptional results for our customers by constantly pushing the boundaries of what is possible.”

“At SPIE, we will be demonstrating our VerifireTM MST+ interferometer system. The VerifireTM MST+ provides fast and reliable measurements of surface form error, including simultaneous surface, thickness variation, and homogeneity metrology of parallel windows — such as thin wafers and windows down to 0.4 mm thick.  The MST+ enables quick feedback of difficult to measure optics with parallel surfaces, and is the only Fizeau interferometer that measures surfaces and thickness variation simultaneously for best precision and performance. Also on show will be the ZeGageTM 3D optical profiler which sets the standard for performance, ease of use, flexibility, and precision of benchtop-class industrial non-contact surface profilers. Built on ZYGO’s proprietary CSI technology, ZeGageTM delivers innovative technologies to enable precise, reliable, simple, and confident surface metrology.“

Also on site at the event will be ZYGO Chief Scientist and member of the Board of Directors for SPIE, Dr. Peter de Groot, who will be presenting a paper at the related Applied Optical Metrology conference entitled “Fourier optics modeling of coherence scanning interferometers,” 16.00 – 16.30 PDT on 4th August.Dr. Leslie Deck, Zygo Technology Fellow, will present a recorded presentation with the title “The state of the art in swept-wavelength laser Fizeau interferometry.” The presentation will be available on demand starting Sunday August 1. 2021.

When it comes to optical component manufacturing, ZYGO’s experience will be also showcased at Optics + Photonics. The company is today not only the leading provider of plano optical components, but is also expert in optical coatings and the manufacture of aspheres, freeforms, and complex electro-optical systems. The company’s heritage of homegrown innovation is routinely called upon by organizations who need a partner to deliver a product which works right the first time. This reputation has earned ZYGO the honor of working with the innovators and leaders in technologies such as gravitational wave science, EUV lithography, laser eye surgery, gene sequencing, and augmented reality.
