Versatile SB1 speaker housings from BCL can be assembled in two different shapes

Suitable for housing standard mylar cone speakers; UK-manufactured for prompt delivery

December 2020 – Speaker enclosures from BCL Enclosures, the specialist UK manufacturer of standard and custom plastic enclosures, provide an easily-assembled, cost-effective solution to housing wiring and components for applications such as alarms, panic alarms, extension speakers and intercoms.

The housing units are cleverly designed in two parts and are manufactured in white ABS.  They feature a louvred front and a recessed panel, providing a neat and unobtrusive housing for a standard 87mm mylar cone speaker.  An ingenious feature is the ability to assemble the halves of the speaker unit in two different shapes, depending on the requirements of the installation.  The two halves can be snapped together to provide either a sloping or standard shaped box.  The internal mylar cone speaker is retained by internal locating pegs.  For ease of installation, cable knock-outs are provided at the top and bottom rear edges of the case.

Measurements when assembled as a rectangular housing are 100mm wide x 141mm high x 49mm deep.  In sloping configuration, measurements of the speaker unit are 100mm wide x 141mm high x 38mm at the narrow end x 60mm high at the deeper end.  Nominal wall thickness is 2.0mm.

As a UK manufacturer, BCL Enclosures offers an efficient alternative to sourcing products from overseas, providing certainty of supply and avoiding currency fluctuations.
