Highlights for 100% inspection and web monitoring

In the field of 100% inspection, workflow and web monitoring BST eltromat Shanghai will show the TubeScan product family, including TubeScan eagle view and the new QLink workflow solution, from Nyquist Systems. Nyquist Systems has been a member of the BST group of companies since the beginning of 2019. Visitors can see the TubeScan systems and their workflow via live demonstrations on a rewinder. The TubeScan eagle view, for example, combines 100% print inspection with web monitoring, enabling seamless printing defect monitoring. With the new QLink workflow Nyquist Systems has expanded its TubeScan product portfolio and has concentrated on synchronization, data handling and error editing with relatively low investment. QLink was developed for customers who use TubeScan systems for printing and slitter rewinders. Using the roll protocols produced by the TubeScan systems or other 100% inspection systems on the printing machines, they automatically control the cutting machines and also serve as independent 100% inspection systems. This means that rolls originating from printing machines which are not fitted with TubeScan systems can be inspected. BST eltromat Shanghai will also show the web monitoring product, POWERScope 5000. This system features an extremely high level of operating convenience. It can be operated via the hotkeys of the external keyboard or using intuitive gesture control on a multitouch monitor. In both cases, operation is reduced to the essential functions, providing maximum user-friendliness. The web monitoring system also features a wear-free electronic zoom and outstanding image quality thanks to the high-resolution digital camera and LED flash.

Web guiding for narrow web applications

The web guiding systems from BST eltromat are widely used in the narrow web market. For example, many label printing machines are equipped with the web guiding systems CompactGuide or EcoGuide. Customers in narrow web packaging printing have been impressed by their strong price-performance ratio. Both web guiding systems are available in a range of sizes and can be adapted to individual requirements. It can be equipped with different sensors, controllers or actuators – according to the customer’s needs. The comprehensive range of sensors from BST eltromat covers practically all requirements in web guiding as well. In label and packaging printing, the high-performance CLS Pro 600 digital line and contrast sensor is frequently used. The CLS Pro 600 sensor provides precise, non-contact scanning of lines, print, and web edges. This enables them to cover a wide range of different uses. The combination of a high scan rate and a high-resolution CCD color line chip guarantees precise guiding of the webs, even when dealing with broken lines or contrasts.
