JENTON APPOINTED AS UK AND IRELAND DISTRIBUTOR FOR XENON CORPORATION PULSED LIGHT SYSTEMS

Due to its position at the forefront of UV disinfection and UV curing conveyor technology, Jenton International Ltd – part of The Jenton Group (www.jenton.co.uk) – has been appointed as UK and Ireland distributor for XENON Corporation, a USA-based designer and manufacturer of high quality pulsed light systems for sterilisation, UV curing and PE sintering across a range of industries, including food, medical device, optical discs and packaging.

XENON has been developing innovative applications for pulsed light technology since the company was founded over 50 years ago, making its experience and knowledge unmatched in the field. It began in 1964 with the design, development and manufacture of high energy pulsed lamps for laser pumping. Since then XENON has applied pulsed light technology to hundreds of products across many different industries.

Jenton designs and manufactures robust, stainless steel UV conveyors, lightboxes, turntables, lightshields and other equipment which can be adapted for use with UV technology, as well as complete systems, if required. The UV curing conveyors are available as benchtop or free standing options and can be customised with mounting points or structures for IR or inkjet systems.

Jenton’s IP65 rated UV disinfection conveyors disinfect the surface of all types of products and equipment. A simple and reliable process, it reduces the risk of contamination by killing microorganisms such as bacteria, mould, viruses, yeast and fungi in a second without the need for chemicals.  It also helps eliminate microbiological contamination on the surface of food like meat, cheese and fresh fruit.

Richard Little, Managing Director at Jenton comments: “Our focus has always been on supplying the best possible range of UV disinfection and UV curing conveyors and adding the unrivalled XENON pulsed light technology to our portfolio will help extend our UV offering in the UK and Ireland.”

Michael Gnaegy, Vice President of Global Sales at XENON Corporation adds: “With an established customer base in the UK and Ireland, Jenton has an unrivalled reputation as a leading designer of advanced UV curing and UV disinfection conveyors and ancillary equipment. As a result, we are happy to strengthen our presence in these key territories with Jenton who know the market and also add value with its in-house engineering, design and service teams.”

Jenton will be offering XENON’s full range of pulsed light systems including the XENON RC-800 modular UV curing system, which is one of the safest, most flexible and highest performing curing solutions available. Boasting energy efficient, rapid and cool curing with low operating costs, the RC-800 is proven in global curing applications like optical discs, medical devices, pharmaceutical packaging, plastic bonding and wood coating.

Alternatively, the XENON RC-900 high power modular UV curing model has all the features of the RC-800 but offers faster curing through a faster pulse rate resulting in greater production efficiencies and higher throughput. It is suited to applications such as Blu-ray™ disc top coat curing.

XENON’s Z-1000 offers high speed sterilisation solutions for surface microbial decontamination. With a range of user-defined, application specific configurations, the Z-1000 yields pathogen reductions from 3-6 log 10. Based on XENON’s SteriPulse™ technology, it is aimed at applications for extending shelf life of food products, aseptic food packaging, rapid deactivation of pathogens and bottle cap and food cup sanitisation.

The XENON X-1100 is the only low-cost benchtop pulsed light system that enables researchers to more easily characterise new processes using proven technology. It allows R&D laboratories around the world to use the XENON X-1100 to experiment with high intensity pulsed light.

The company’s S Series comprises several advanced models for curing, annealing and sintering printed electronics, biosensors, displays, semi-conductor films and 3D printing applications.

At its Whitchurch-based facility, Jenton Group offers a full workshop and maintains an extensive stock of spares in addition to having a number of skilled service engineers available for on-site repairs and maintenance.
