Hands-on work increases competencies in augmented reality, artificial intelligence, analytics and information

Problem solvers, builders, makers and innovators are gathering to learn about the latest trends in the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) technologies, and how those trends will influence how we work, how we live, and how things get made.

This week, Munich, Germany, is the epicentre of the latest innovations in automation. At the Rockwell Automation TechEd event, 21-24 October, industrial professionals from across the Europe, Middle East and Africa region are listening, learning and talking about the latest developments in automation – and how those technologies will make their work more intelligent, connected and productive.

The event, now in its third year, offers attendees more than 150 hands-on labs and discussion sessions featuring advanced industrial technologies including artificial intelligence, network security, virtual reality, scalable computing, analytics and data management.

In her keynote, Susana Gonzalez, president, EMEA region, Rockwell Automation, talked about the technologies that empower digital workers in industrial environments, including the use of augmented reality for training employees and virtual reality tools for digital engineering.

“People play a critical role in advanced manufacturing, and our premier training event is an ideal way to learn new ways to drive innovation and growth within their organizations,” Gonzalez said. “Together with our partners at TechEd EMEA, we will share how to bring The Connected Enterprise to life.”

Gonzalez’s keynote highlighted in-depth sessions and hands-on training that focus on how to integrate control and information across the enterprise to help companies and their people be more productive.

“Every day we are working with our customers to integrate production technology from the physical world with an interconnected, digital network,” Gonzalez says. “We do this because bringing together, people, processes, and technology offers unprecedented opportunities for companies to boost production goals. Our TechEd event helps our customers find their path forward by hearing examples from real applications, discussing emerging trends, and being exposed to the latest technology.”
