RS Components (RS), the trading brand of Electrocomponents plc (LSE: ECM), a global multi-channel provider of industrial and electronic products and solutions, today announced it has garnered the ‘Best High Service Distributor’ from Omron Electronic Components Europe, a subsidiary of Omron Corporation, recognised worldwide as a leader of high quality, high technology electrical and electronic control equipment and component products, including the very latest in sensor technology.
Omron’s portfolio available from RS includes electromechanical PCB relays, micro switches, MOSFET relays, DIP switches, photomicrosensors and connectors. Omron Electronic Components has a strong portfolio of innovative technologies including MEMS based pressure, flow and thermal measurement sensors, human face and gesture recognition modules, vibration and tilt sensors.
A number of awards, including ‘Best High Service Distributor’, were given out last month in Barcelona at a distribution summit for Omron Electronic Components Europe. At the event, the manufacturer was represented by top management from Japan, including the company president Shizuto Yukumoto, and the Omron Europe management team.
