Visitors to Oslo for Nor-Shipping 2019 will have a chance to meet with leading brands of the Altra Industrial Motion Corp. to discuss the various integrated solutions the business offers for marine propulsion applications. Products and services from Ameridrives, Bibby Turboflex, Twiflex Limited, Stromag, Svendborg Brakes and Wichita Clutch will be highlighted on Stand D05-15 throughout the event.
Each of the Altra brands bring decades of experience within the marine industry, specifically power transmission solutions for naval vessels, cruise liners and other large ships. Uniquely, Altra is able to combine the experience of each brand to engineer integrated, turnkey solutions. This offers builders and operators in the marine industry the opportunity to reduce vendors while still accessing multiple leading brands.
Visitors to the Altra stand will get the chance to view a 3D model of Twiflex’s integrated shaft turning and braking system with locking device (TLB), as well as models of Stromag and Wichita Clutch marine clutches. Other products highlighted will include podded and azimuth thruster brakes from Twiflex and Svendborg Brakes; direct applied, hydraulic, pneumatic fixed or floating shaft brakes from Twiflex and Svendborg Brakes; Stromag couplings and brakes along with high energy clutches and brakes from Wichita Clutch.
Twiflex’s Laylink couplings, together with shaft couplings from Ameridrives and Bibby Turboflex will complete the product offering on stand.
At Nor-Shipping, Twiflex will launch its innovative range of shaft locking devices which improve maintenance procedures and offer increased protection for redundant or damaged shaft lines. The devices are available from 75kN to 500 kN and designed for either axial or radial engagement with base or face mounted options. Further details will be available on the stand.
