LINCOLN ENGINEERING FESTIVAL LAUNCHES WITH EXCLUSIVE PREVIEW
SPARK engineering festival opened its doors for an exclusive preview last night (Thursday 2 May) with nearly 100 guests in attendance at Lincoln Cathedral.
The festival is open today (Friday 3 May) to local schools and will welcome 1000 pupils.
Libby John, Pro Vice Chancellor and Head of College of Science and Engineering at the University of Lincoln, said: “The Spark Festival provides the perfect opportunity to showcase Lincolnshire’s amazing contributions in engineering, past and present, and to inspire the next generation, all against the beautiful backdrop of Lincoln Cathedral.”
John Latham, chair of the Spark Engineering Festival steering group, said: “Spark is a chance for us to inspire young people to think about engineering and manufacturing as a career – the event will welcome 1000 children today to participate in activities & visit the stands.”

Saturday 4 May – 10am – 4pm (public day)
Sunday 5 May – 12.30pm – 3pm (public day)
