Thorite, the UK’s largest distributor of pneumatic products and process systems, has now been shortlisted for two categories in the 2019 Motion Control Industry Awards.
Following on from winning the Award in 2017 and again in 2018, this is the third year in succession that the company has been shortlisted for the prestigious and highly contested Distributor of the Year category. Also for this year’s awards, Thorite has entered and has succeeded in being shortlisted for an additional category; the Contribution to Skills & Training.
Employing 120 people, Thorite is principally involved in the fluid power sector, specialising in the engineering, manufacturing, food processing, printing and pharmaceuticals industries, and has an annual turnover of £19 million.
Speaking about both awards Thorite’s Managing Director, Stephen Wright, commented: “The shortlisting will again allow Thorite to showcase its skills and core competencies in the industry and will show how well Thorite is perceived within the marketplace.”
The MCI Awards Judging Panel, which includes independent experts, representation from the press and sponsoring companies, will be analysing and discussing every entry to decide on the 2019 winners. A secret ballot will determine the winners. However, these will not be announced until the Gala Dinner on Wednesday 22nd May at the National Conference Centre in Solihull.
