Cheshire based Buttkereit Limited has a long established reputation as a trusted supplier of cable management systems to UK customers. This has been built upon a company philosophy of always delivering the best combination of product quality, availability, competitive price, and customer service.
A recent exclusive partnership agreement with Italian manufacturer Detas SpA brings a new dimension to the range of Cable Management products available within the UK from Buttkereit Limited.
There is a strong synergy between the two parties, Detas and Buttkereit, as both companies share a very similar background, operating over an extended period as distributers of cable management products and systems within their own territories for the same manufacturer. Although a highly respected range of products, there were some gaps in the range, and opportunities for improvements to design and operating specifications.
The Detas Group specialises in power electronics for sectors such as industrial automation, LED functional lighting, traffic safety and electric vehicle charging. With this established expertise in cable management across diverse applications, the company has recently established the Detasultra Division at their headquarters in Rezzato, Italy.
(Buttkereit are now exclusive UK distributers for the DES entry system solutions)
From this new division comes the DES (Detas Entry System) solution. Designed, developed, manufactured and patented in Italy, this new range simplifies the process of cable management for a wide range of electrical applications whilst improving: ingress protection against liquids, strain relief and EMC standards, at competitive pricing.
The range includes solutions for pre-terminated cables, using a selection of frames and inserts. The frames have been designed to fit the fixing holes of competitor types, however unlike other systems, the DES frame is capable of accepting multiple insert types to provide the highest level of flexibility in cable sizes and configuration. For standard, non-terminated cable types, the range includes a wide selection of gland plates. This part of the DES range offers an innovative alternative to standard cable glands on electrical, electronic and telecommunication cabinets and equipment. The cable is pushed through a front membrane, whilst an integrated second membrane increases the strain relief and liquid resistance. The comprehensive range offers protections levels up to IP66, strain relief to EN 62444 and a sturdy construction rating up to IK10
Martin Buttkereit commented: “The synergy between our two companies, both acting as distributors for cable management products over an extended period, means that we also shared the same experiences. This means we have a mutual understanding of what is needed to succeed. Our exclusivity for the Detas DES solution here in the UK will allow us to invest additional resources in the promotion, sales and support of their products”
This new range of cable management systems adds to the wide range of complementary products already offered by the company.
