SICK UK has released more dates for its popular Functional Safety Training during 2018 led by its qualified Machinery Safety experts and held at convenient locations in the North and South of England.
The one-day course is designed to bring engineers, machinebuilders and end-users up to speed with the EN ISO 13849 functional safety standard (Safety of Machinery – Safety-related parts of control systems). Delegates will receive in-depth course materials and the Six Steps to Safe Machine guide.
The workshop date and venues are as follows:
- Tuesday 17th July, Wisbech, Cambridgeshire
- Tuesday 18th September, West Yorkshire
- Thursday 20th September, St Albans
Designed to provide practical, focused and professional functional safety training, the workshop content is tailored to ensure delegates can become proficient in the principles behind EN ISO 13849 in one day.
“In addition to the structure and terminology of the legislation, the workshop will go through a worked example using a simple safety function. The course goes on to cover how to use Sistema, with development strategies and real scenarios presented.
“Our SICK trainers are qualified to the highest standards in EU machinery safety legislation, so will be on hand to provide in-depth support. Delegates usually also find our open Q&A discussions and reference to real-life examples useful to develop their practice.”
