Hat trick of shortlists for talented Pryor engineers at EEF Apprentice Awards

A trio of talented apprentices training at marking, identification and traceability solutions specialist Pryor have been shortlisted for the North East, Yorkshire & Humberside edition of the EEF Future Manufacturing Awards. Joshua Keyworth, Niall Dawson and Rob O’Gorman were selected along with 20 other apprentices from across the North East and Yorkshire and the Humber after impressing judges with their hard work, dedication and determination to pursue a career in manufacturing.

Keyworth, currently in the first year of his apprenticeship, works within mechanical maintenance and is specialising as a machine tool technician. Dawson, also a first year apprentice, is specialising in mechanical design. Finally, third year apprentice O’Gorman, who also reached this year’s finals of the AMRC Training Centre Apprentice of the Year Awards, is training as a multi-skilled machinist.

“As a company which has been championing apprenticeships for over 40 years, we’re incredibly proud Josh, Rob and Niall have been shortlisted,” commented Pryor’s Operations Director, Simon Dunn. “Our apprentice programs are tailored to ensure each apprentice develops a wide range of skills, and these three guys have thrived in this environment, going above and beyond to learn their craft and advance their skills.”

The winners will be announced at the North East, Yorkshire & Humberside awards ceremony on Monday 13th November 2017. The regional winner within each category will go forward to compete for the national title.
