SciMed, the UK’s leading distributor of scientific instruments is holding a two-day open day for the scientific community on February 4 and 5, 2025. Hosted at SciMed’s Stockport offices, the event offers a unique opportunity to explore the latest innovations in scientific technology, network with industry peers and experience SciMed’s newly expanded facilities.
This event is tailored to analytical chemists, laboratory managers, quality control specialists and process engineers across the laboratory spectrum. SciMed will showcase lab equipment from all its suppliers, including Spectro Scientific, ThermoFisher and Analytichem, designed to boost sustainability without compromising quality or budgets.
Attendees will gain insights into the latest advancements through technical talks on topics such as environmental analysis, process chemistry, petrochemical applications, battery research, process safety and much more.
For instance, the process chemistry section of the day includes topics such as high-pressure reactors, ultrasonic processes and supercritical carbon dioxide. Topics in the environmental analysis section focus on efficient and cost-effective solutions, featuring advanced systems like the Analytik Jena Multi-X2500 AOX-TOX and Spectro Scientific Intracal2 analysers.

A highlight of the open day will be a reception on the evening of February 4 to inaugurate SciMed’s expanded facilities.
