Mascot launches new Blueline 4041 desktop battery charger series for medical, industrial and professional applications

New charger series delivers flexible, medically certified charging for Li-Ion, LiFePO,
NiMH and Lead Acid batteries

5th February 2026 – Norwegian power design specialist Mascot announces the launch of its new 4041 desktop battery charger series, extending the Blueline family with a compact, flexible solution supporting four battery chemistries: Li-Ion, LiFePO₄, NiMH and Lead Acid.

Designed for use across medical, industrial and professional applications, the 4041 delivers up to 5 A output and features a microcontroller-based three-step charge control with current detection, ensuring safe, reliable and efficient charging. A universal AC input range of 90-264 VAC, combined with exchangeable AC and DC plugs for global applications, provides maximum flexibility for international deployments.

To protect battery health and maximise uptime, the charger includes wake-up and low-current start-up for deeply discharged batteries, alongside comprehensive safety monitoring, with optional NTC temperature sensing input. Protection features include indication and shutdown for reverse polarity, short circuit, incorrect battery cell count and safety timer run out.

The 4041 models are medically certified to EN 60601-1 editions 3.1 and 3.2, as well as EN 60601-1-11 for home healthcare applications. The design supports 2 MOOP as standard, with 2 MOPP available to meet patient-protection requirements. It also complies with EN 60335-2-29 for battery chargers and IEC 62368-1 for audio-visual and communication equipment. UL approval is pending.

Custom options are available on request, including connectors, cords, branding, housing or open-frame formats, IP ratings and certificates. The 4041 chargers are fully customisable via Mascot’s Configurable Battery Charger (CBC) toolkit, allowing users to easily set charge parameters such as timers, temperature, current and voltage adjustments via a PC interface. Configuration can also be done in the field.

In addition, the ten latest charge cycles may be read using the CBC tool or separate Log Reader Software.

The 4041’s advanced 3-stage process restores full battery voltage, provides saturation charging to maximize capacity, and automatically stops when the battery is fully charged ensuring peak performance and extended runtime. A 3-color LED indicator offers intuitive feedback for charging, error, and standby status.

Units are currently available for initial sample requests, with further pilot production planned. For more information, visit: www.mascot.no/products/battery-chargers
