Rhopoint Components to exhibit at Battery Cells & Systems Expo 2025

9-10th July

NEC, Birmingham

Booth 1821

Rhopoint Components, specialist distributor  of precision electronic components, modular systems, sensors and connectors, will be exhibiting at the Battery Cells & Systems Expo and Conference being held at the Birmingham NEC on 9th and 10th of July 2025. Visitors to the Rhopoint booth, number 1821, will be able to see a selection of the wide range of components and sensors available for use in the EV charging and battery management markets.

The Battery Cells & Systems Expo and Conference is an international showcase of manufacturers, users and the entire supply chain working to increase battery performance, cost and safety. The show will bring together automotive OEM’s, electric utilities, battery cell manufacturers, system manufacturers and integrators along with the entire manufacturing supply chain.

Rhopoint are partnering with a key manufacturer/supplier, Metis Engineering, as UK distributor for their full range of products. UK based Metis are specialists in the development and manufacture of advanced Environmental, Navigational and Inertial CAN-based sensor solutions for the automotive and energy storage industries.

Metis products are designed to monitor critical parameters such as battery health, hydrogen leaks, and air quality. These sensors are integral to enhancing safety and efficiency in electric vehicles, hydrogen fuel systems, and HVAC applications.

Key products from Metis available from Rhopoint include:

  • Nano Development Kit which can be used alongside 3 environmental sensors to quickly plug in and evaluate a sensor. The Development Board has all the necessary cables to plug into a CAN adaptor.
  • Air Wise Sensor, a CAN based sensor that can measure absolute pressure, air temperature, Nitrous Oxides (NOx), Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), Carbon Dioxide (CO2), absolute air water content, relative humidity, dew point temperature, impact shock.
  • Cell Guard, a CAN-based environmental sensor for use with Battery Packs in Energy Storage Systems and Electric Vehicles. It measures absolute pressure, air temperature, VOCs, absolute humidity, relative humidity, dew point temperature, and shock load and duration.
  • H Guard, a CAN based sensor that can measure absolute pressure, air temperature, H2 (Hydrogen), absolute air water content, relative humidity, dew point temperature and 3 axis acceleration.

Other products on display at the show include:

  • Isabellenhütte IVT series Current & Voltage Measurement Sensor IVT-S

The IVT-S is a compact, high-precision current measurement system equipped with a CAN interface. The continuous current measurement covers a measuring range of up to ±2,500 A and can be extended by up to 3 voltage measurement channels (nom. 1000 V). The IVT-S has been the benchmark for precise current and voltage measurement since 2017.

IVT-3-Base

The IVT 3 is a compact high precision current measurement device, which is built on a platform concept where functional components can be added to adapt to many different use cases. The IVT 3 series is developed according to ISO 26262:2018 (Road vehicles – Functional safety).

IVT-3-Pro

The IVT 3 is a compact high precision current measurement device, which is built on a platform concept where functional components can be added to adapt to many different use cases. The Pro version supports insulation resistance monitoring and 3 or 6 voltage measurement channels. The IVT 3 series is developed according to ISO 26262:2018 (Road vehicles – Functional safety).

  • Cissoid Silicon Carbide (SiC) MOSFET Intelligent Power Module
  • Exxelia Ohmcraft High Voltage SMD Resistors
  • Rara – High power precision shunt resistors
  • RdF® temperature sensors

Mrs Dawn King, Marketing Director, Rhopoint Components Ltd., says, “This is our third consecutive year exhibiting at this show. It is strategically very important for us, and we are keen to make new connections within the industry sector.”
