April 2025 marks ten years since Heilind Electronics, a leader in worldwide electronic component distribution, acquired MPS Group, a German consortium. Launching Heilind’s expansion into the market, this acquisition laid the foundation for growth across Europe.
In business for over 50 years, Heilind focuses on the distribution of electronic connectors, relays, and sensors across a broad spectrum of industries and applications including industrial, robotics, lighting, marine, defense, aerospace, data and telecommunications, medical devices, transportation among others. Its product portfolio includes components from over 160 leading manufacturers worldwide.

Grzegorz Łyszczarz, Managing Director Europe said: “It’s been an incredible journey watching Heilind Europe grow from its early beginnings into a key player in our industry. I’m proud to have been part of this story — driving growth, building strong customer partnerships, and shaping a team culture rooted in excellence, accountability, and trust. Here’s to everything we’ve achieved together — and to the next chapter of success!”
In 2015, Heilind acquired the German consortium MPS Group and began its expansion into the European market – initially in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, and four years later in Eastern European countries, including Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia.

“Over the past 10 years, Heilind Europe has grown from a local presence in Germany to a strong footprint across 12 countries, shipping to over 52. Despite initial challenges, our commitment to investment and expansion has driven continuous progress – from our first warehouse move to new offices and distribution centers across Europe. With the trust of over 75 suppliers and a dedicated team, many of whom have been with us from the start, our journey is a testament to perseverance and growth” – said Stefan Barrig, Sales Director Europe.
In 2022, the company opened a new distribution center in Mysłowice, Poland. A year later, it expanded its operations to the Benelux, Nordics & Baltics, France, and Serbia. Continuing its expansion, in 2024 Heilind opened a 8,000 m2 connector assembly and logistics center in Hanau, near Frankfurt am Main, and the relocation of its European headquarters to Bruckmühl, Bavaria, while starting sales activities in Spain, Portugal, and the United Kingdom.

“Being part of Heilind means witnessing its transformation from a small regional distributor to a global player while staying true to its interconnect and electromechanical focus. I appreciate the company’s dedication to constant improvement – expanding our line card, strengthening VAD lines, and growing our sales and teams. With our Hi-Rel focus accelerating and Heilind remaining privately held, the journey is far from over – there’s always more to achieve” – said Matthias Oettl, Market Manager Mil/Aero.
Heilind is poised to grow market share across Europe in the aerospace and defense industries. Likewise, the company is expanding its high reliability (Hi-Rel) product portfolio and is committed to attracting top industry experts.
