Large Format AVX550 Automatic Vision Metrology System

The AVX550 Automatic Vision Metrology System is designed for high-precision measurement of large, complex parts, ideal for use in QC labs, research, engineering, and manufacturing environments. With a generous X-Y-Z travel range of 550mm x 400mm x 250mm, the AVX550 enables inspection of large components with intricate features. A key innovation of this system is the option for dual-camera inputs, which allows users to conduct both macro and micro measurements without needing to switch lenses or recalibrate, enhancing efficiency and flexibility.

The X-Y transport system is driven by precision linear guide bearings, ensuring smooth, high-speed movement across the measurement area. This is complemented by a stable granite base and bridge, which provide structural integrity, reducing vibrations and ensuring repeatable precision. The system is powered by MetLogix™ M3 software, accessed via a 24″ touchscreen PC, which simplifies complex measurement tasks and supports features like automatic edge detection and GD&T analysis.

For illumination, the AVX550 includes LED surface ring, transmitted, and coaxial lighting, ensuring excellent image clarity on a variety of surfaces. A 1.3 MP digital camera with an SXVGA sensor captures high-resolution images for accurate part inspection.

Optional enhancements include dual-camera inputs, 12:1 CNC zoom optics, auxiliary lenses, and Renishaw touch probe kits, expanding the system’s versatility. The AVX550 can also integrate with CNC rotary axis fixtures and automatic CAD comparison options for seamless inspection workflows.

Designed for industries such as aerospace, automotive, and medical device manufacturing, the AVX550 offers a powerful combination of large-format measurement capabilities, high precision, and advanced software in one efficient system. Its user-friendly design and ergonomic workstation make it a practical solution for environments where accuracy and reliability are critical.
