Lane Electronics a market-leading franchised distributor for many of the industry’s major electrical, electronic and optical connector manufacturers have appointed Phil McDavitt to the new role of Strategic Business Manager RF and Fibre-Optic connector products.
Phil is known to many in the electronics industry and brings a wealth of technical and commercial knowledge across a number of high-quality, high-performance RF and Fibre-Optic product groups gained through previous employment with leading manufacturers such as TE, Radiall and Transradio. He also has a comprehensive knowledge and applications experience of more conventional connector products from manufacturers including Harwin, JAE and most recently, Nicomatic.
Nick Wheeler, Sales Director of Lane Electronics, says “Phil will be primarily focussed on strategically developing our combined RF and Fibre-Optic business, becoming the Lane Electronics technical and commercial ‘champion’ and business leader of our RF and Optical business and associated product groups. He will be working with and alongside me in identifying and driving new business independently and through our existing BDM/team activity, across all market sectors.”
