Comau Partner of “MADE”, the New Milan Competence Center for Industry 4.0

Today, in the Great Hall of Milan Polytechnic, a press conference was held to present the “MADE” Competence Center, spearheaded by the Polytechnic of Milan and of which Comau – a member of the FCA Group and global leader in the field of industrial automation – is a partner company. A representative of Comau has been appointed as a member of the MADE Board of Directors.

MADE is a public-private partnership formed by 39 partners from the business and academic world, which aims to provide businesses – in particular to SMEs – with three specific services: orientation, training and support for the implementation of innovation projects for Industry 4.0. Thus, MADE represents one of the highly specialized innovation centers organized within the National Industry 4.0 Plan, promoted and co-funded by the MISE (the Italian Ministry of Economic Development).

“The participation in the Milan Competence Center – MADE – demonstrates Comau’s commitment to innovation and in the implementation of projects capable of contributing to the development of our country’s industrial system,” says Mauro Fenzi, CEO of Comau. “By making its expertise, technologies and advanced processes for Industry 4.0 available, Comau aims to support companies in the acquisition of production processes and tools enabling the Smart Factory in an increasingly incisive manner.”

Comau supports the Milan Competence Center, providing its most innovative products, including: the MATE exoskeleton, traditional industrial robots and collaborative robots (such as AURA), the autonomous driving vehicle Agile1500, and the e.DO educational robot. The technologies are accompanied by the know-how of Comau experts for guidance, training and operational support services to companies.
