Trescal, the international specialist in calibration services, announces the acquisitions of Vale Balanças, San Jose dos Campos (Brazil); Aicher Kalibrierdienst in Biberach (Germany); Atlas Copco calibration activity in Germany and Massachusetts Metrology in Boston (USA). These acquisitions will add circa €6m turnover to the Group.
Founded in 2009 in Sao Jose dos Campos, Vale Balanças, IPEM accredited, provides calibration and maintenance services for scales up to 80 tons and employs 7 people. The two founders Ademir Pereira and Julio Cesar Moraes will remain with Trescal at their current positions.
Founded in 1997 and based in Biberach, Aicher Kalibrierdienst is a DakkS accredited calibration laboratory specialized in the Life Science industry and employs 10 people. The founder and current CEO, Mr. Aicher, will remain at its current position to develop the Life Science portfolio for Trescal in Germany.
The calibration activity of Atlas Copco is a three laboratories DakkS accredited entity which operates from Wetzlar, Kiel and Munich). These one-stop-shop laboratories have good capabilities in electrical and mechanical calibration and employ 36 people for a turnover of €3,5m.
Founded in 1977 and based in the Boston area, Massachusetts Metrology is an A2LA accredited calibration laboratory specialized in temperature and pressure, notably heat treatment according to the AMS 2750E standard for the aerospace industry. Massachusetts Metrology employs 8 people and is active in the aerospace, food and pharmaceuticals industries. Richard Rothstein, the current CEO and owner will remain at his current position to continue the development Trescal in Massachusetts. These acquisitions are the 28th, 29th , 30th and 31st acquisitions since the change of ownership to Ardian in July 2013.
