Altra Industrial Motion brands bring selection of leading solutions to CeMAT 2018

Visit Altra Industrial Motion at CeMAT 2018, from 23rd -27th April, at Hannover Messe, Hannover, Germany, on stand G30, Hall 26.

CeMAT is the world’s leading event for intralogistics and supply chain management. This year, it takes place from 23rd -27th April at Hannover Messe. At the event, Matrix, Guardian Couplings, Stromag, Warner Electric and Warner Linear will demonstrate the combined power transmission expertise inherent in the Altra Industrial Motion Corporation.

CeMAT trade fair covers the advances in hoists, cranes, forklifts, warehouse equipment, logistics systems and software through its five sections: logistics IT, storage and conveying technology, packaging, cranes and lifting equipment, industrial trucks and accessories. The focus of the 2018 edition is “connected supply chain solutions”, where Logistic 4.0 meets Industry 4.0.

Altra Industrial Motion, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of industrial power transmission components, will showcase the innovative Logistic 4.0 solutions on offer from several of its popular brands. Visitors to the Altra booth will have the chance to experience precision power transmission components for a wide range of industries and specialised applications.

Of interest to visitors will be Warner Electric’s ERD series of power-off brakes, designed to safely keep the load in position in the event of a power or motor failure, and the pan-cake (PK) and PK captive electrically released emergency brakes. PK brakes benefit from a specialised non-sticking friction material developed by the company specifically for the forklift industry. This grade of friction material minimises the sticking of brakes, a phenomenon that is frequently experienced when using standard friction materials and that can make the release of the brake extremely difficult.

Adding to Warner’s brake expertise will be sister brand Matrix, showcasing its load wheel brakes, including the 4EB and 4PMB series. Both brake series offer zero backlash and have a compact design for forklift applications characterised by very narrow aisles. The 4EB are electromagnetic stationary singleface brakes, available as single or multi disc versions, while the 4PMB series of permanent magnetic brakes features single disc service and parking brakes.

The highlight for Stromag, manufacturer of innovative power transmission components for industrial drivetrain applications, will be its range of hydraulic brakes. One of the products that will be showcased is the SHD range of hydraulic disc brakes for applications in tower and port cranes. The SHD range of e-stop brakes provide robustness and reliability in the challenging environmental conditions that often characterise a crane’s location.

Also on the stand, Warner Linear will showcase its assortment of electromechanical actuators and actuator controls, which range from simple-to-use switch box controls to state-of-the-art microprocessor based digital electronic models. Of particular interest to visitors will be the brand-new H-track linear actuators, featuring high load capability for extreme duty use and excellent ingress protection and corrosion resistance. Guardian Couplings will feature a wide selection of flywheel couplings. The company manufactures precision couplings for power transmission applications.

Specialist engineers from Altra’s family will be available on stand G30, hall 26 to discuss the individual products presented as well as how the company can provide bespoke, turnkey packages that fits to specific industry needs.
