A recent re-structuring of the management team within Güdel’s UK based operation, has set the scene for additional investment within the Coventry site to support further growth within the UK and Ireland.
Although a long established and successful part of the UK’s automation sector since its incorporation in 1992, Güdel UK Limited is now gearing up for further growth within both existing and new market sectors.
The recent appointment of Troy McCourt as UK Managing Director, together with the recruitment of additional sales and engineering staff, will be followed by further investment in a number of areas including the company’s IT systems.
Troy joins the company as a past user of Güdel Gantry Robot Systems in a previous role. “Having had experience of Güdel products and systems for a number of years, I was already impressed by the high quality and longevity of the company’s Gantry Robots and Linear Motion products. I am delighted to have joined this highly respected business and look forward to working with the team to take it to the next level.”
(Güdel’s Gantry Robot Systems and Linear Motion Products are at the heart of many applications within multiple market sectors)
The company has four main area of business:- robot tracks and linear gantry modules, linear axis components, gantry-based systems, spares and service. Güdel Gantry Robots are at the heart of a wide range of applications within the Automotive, Aerospace, Renewable Energy, Food, Pharmaceutical, Medical and Logistics sectors.
The extensive range of Güdel’s robot and linear axis products allow bespoke solutions to be configured by system integrators or end-users alike for applications where conventional robot technology would be inappropriate or cost prohibitive. The individual components used to manufacture Güdel’s modules and linear axis products ,are also sought after by end users and machine builders who wish to “build in” the same levels of quality and reliability within their own systems.
The remainder of 2017 will see Güdel UK Limited expand their activities within the Coventry site: increasing sales of modules and linear motion products, together with the provision of configured systems, for further integration by end users and system builders.
