HBM ON TOUR!

Faster than the speed of sound – transient testing made easy with HBM! HBM – a market leader in the field of test and measurement is pleased to announce the latest date for its ‘Faster than the Speed of Sound – Transient Testing’ training course, which is part of its highly acclaimed HBM on Tour series.

Taking place on Thursday 20th October, this one day comprehensive training course explains how to determine material properties in dynamic conditions and discusses suitable equipment for the job.

Presented by the prestigious HBM Academy, the course will focus on transient measurements with Genesis High Speed and Perception software.  Focusing on a variety of topics, the course will explain what a transient signal is and the different user models in Perception, such as acquisition and storage of data.  Providing information on which sample rates and filter types are suitable, the course will also highlight triggers and explain FFT (Fast Fourier Transformation) analysis.

Including a diverse range of industry examples and demonstrations, such as switch gear testing at ABB Testing, Dr. Stephen Burley from the School of Mechanical, Aerospace and Civil Engineering Department of Manchester University will also be on hand to discuss high speed transient testing.

Suitable for all users from all technical fields, no prior knowledge for this training course is necessary although a basic knowledge of measurement technology would be useful.

Located at the Silverstone Wing in Northants, which sits in the heart of Silverstone’s world-famous Grand Prix circuit, this memorable venue combines the glamour and heritage of the home of British motor racing, with stunning designs.  And what’s more, participants are invited to join a free Silverstone Racetrack Tour at the end of the seminar!

Free to attend; with lunch and morning and afternoon refreshments, spaces are available on a first come, first served basis.

Genesis HighSpeed products from HBM are suitable for applications in the high-speed and ultra-high speed area and provide measurement technology for structural tests, ballistics, aerospace or electrical tests.  Based on modular platforms, all systems can be configured to suit the needs of each specific application, be it single-channel or a thousand.
